Mischa Barton won't be visiting jail anytime soon. Way to wreck Red Sox Opening Day for me, guys. Jerks. Mischa is accepting a plea deal in her DUI case.
She was arrested for DUI in December when the cops spotted her ass weaving about and failing to signal. She had some devil weed in her car, too. But that charge was dropped because the amount was too small.
Mischa's pale, unemployed self will also be sentenced to a three-month alcohol-education class, and a fine of approximately $1,700. Does Los Angeles seem arbitrary in their sentencing for celebrities to anyone else? Is it dependent on whether the judge likes your show or not? The Honorable Judge Mabel Rattan loved The O.C. but thinks 24 stinks? She saw the last season, too. Ugh.

Yeah, I see what you mean J., but the difference between Mischa's case and Keifer's is that Keifer is a repeat offender-he's had several DUI/DWIs, didn't he?
Besides, Mischa has the little Superman dude following her around so she's golden...

The DUI laws made in the last 20 years are complete non-sense anyways. Some narrow-minded people love to talk about "enforcing the law" but don't spend enough time giving critical thought to what should be law. The same people who are adamant about harsh sentences for drunk driving are the same people who have their attorney on the phone 5 minutes after they crash into someone, or their spouse runs into someone, or their kid runs into someone. When they or someone they care about suddenly becomes the dangerous driver that needs to be punished for causing harm to another human being, suddenly all that time for the crime bravado goes flying right out the window.
