Actually, it's Mariah who's going to be taking Leona's spot this week at the top of the album charts. Fact-check much?

Actually, Leona Lewis and her 'Bleeding Love' knocked Touch my Body out of the number one spot..

bitch - i know she's not talking about her writing skills. just bc she opened a thesaurus does not make her deep. she always has co-writers to help her & her lyrics are always the equivalent of what you'd find in a jr high slam book.

im sure she's pissed that leona knocked her out of #1 spot since she seems to base her value on how many of those she has.

Leona beats Mariah hands down in every way!!!!! Leona is a beautiful young girl who doesn't flaunt herself around looking like a street walker.

People keep on talking about number one spot, billboard, blah, blah, blah! How about real skills, longevity...how can anyone compare those two, Mariah is a fkn legend, who the hell is Leona Lewis?

uh, Mariah hasn't been around long enough to be a "legend". sure, she's got staying power, and an amazing set of pipes, but she's no legend. at least, not yet...

think Aretha, or Diana Ross...

Mariah is such an attention whore. Think she needs her feet to touch the ground... stop wearing high heels and loafers! Personally I feel Leona is such a great singer, for one she doesn't scream in all of her songs.... O well...Poor Nick!

i think both artists are great singers. I can see how they compare to each other in the high notes they both sing. and if mariah carey isnt a legend, then y do u feel the need to talk about her?! mariah carey has definatley made her mark in music

They do not sound alike. They have their own style. Leona is an amazing singer as is Mariah. Let's compare their attitudes though. Leona is sweet, humble and very innocent. But Mariah is arrogant and self absorbed, and it is very apparent by her comments about Leona. I sense a lot of jealousy there and she cannot deny that. And Leona sounds so much better live than Mariah. She is one of those singers that really gives her all to her performances. Sadly Mariah's vocals are all starting to sound the same to me. Its great to hear fresh new music, Mariah is not and never will be the end all or be all of music. Her songs are so teeny boppy now its not even funny. and I am tired of hearing her scream in songs.

It's amazing that Mariah can still crank out the hits after all this time. Loving You Long Time is THE summer song. Leona's great, but comparing to her to Mariah is crazy.

Mariah has nothing to prove.
Her voice has become quite unreliable especially when we cannot listen to her without comparing to what she was, and the Mariah we knew is a legend. People want to thow arrogance and narcisism at her, well I believe Aretha and Celine hold the patent for that. And as far as humility, either a facade or genuine aspect to the artist, which typically vanishes regardless. And no Mariah was not point a finger at Leona, but at record labels, who have created numerous "new" Mariahs, such as Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, and so forth. Yet while some can sing, they fall very short of the Mariah's rarity, her voice. Perosnally I think Christina A is a much better "new" Mariah, though not at all at the same vocal level as Mariah she's still got great pipes.
