Julia Roberts stinks. Here she is with Clive Owen filming Duplicity in NYC. The reason why ole' Clive seems to be backing up off her is because she doesn't use deodorant. At all. Julia rinses the pits and starts her day. She doesn't even use those rocks to defunk that the vegans use. When sensitive ponytail vegan people (long-haired freaky people?) think you reek, something's up.
"I don't like to share that with a large number of people, but it's just never been my thing," America's Sweetheart says about deodorant whether it be sticks, rolls or gels.
I wouldn't share it either. It explains all the wavy cartoon lines coming off her all the time. I wondered what the hell that was obscuring my enjoyment of Sleeping with the Enemy. Someone re-arranged the towels and I couldn't get what everyone was gasping about because of her stinklines!

My husband is one of those lucky souls that doesn't need deodorant and that boy sweats. Thank God because I hate the smell of men's deodorant. As for me, I keep deodorant in my purse, in my car, in my desk. When I shop, I check the fabric tag before the price tag. I'm kind of gross.

Here's the deal on deodorant -- if you shave your pits and wash every day, you don't need it. The odor comes from bacteria that feed off of your sweat. 99% of the bacteria live on the underarm hair. Shave it - they're gone. People are shocked when I tell them I don't use it because they expect me to smell and I don't at all. Btw, deodorant contains aluminum which is linked to alzheimer's. It's not good.

As to what medical problems deodorant can cause, it's indeterminate. Nothing proves it either way.

Well, personally, I can't use anti-perspirants (even sensitive skin types). It makes my underarms ache. It's a deep-tissue, dull ache and it's painful enough that I can't live with it. I tried the crystal and got the same results. Since there are lymph glands in the underarm area it makes me worry about breast cancer. Of course I'd rather stink than worry about that. So my basic solution is to bathe twice a day. I assume that's what Julia is doing also. So give us both a break, please.

I don't know about Julia Roberts, but if you travel on a bus or train or plane there are always loads of stinking sweaty folk all about! Never mind deodorant and anti perspirants, sometimes I wonder if some people bath at all, change their underwear or even bother to wipe their arse! Luckily when we watch TV or see a movie thankfully we don't have to worry if the Actors stink or not, but same can't be said for the audience!
