In case you didn't get enough Clay Aiken so far in 2008, after his 3 1/2 month stint on Broadway, the American Idol alum is finally releasing his second original album.
After his double platinum Measure of a Man in 2003, Clay has since released two Christmas albums and a cover album. After 5 years, the singer is ready to release an album with more of his own input into the song selection.
"On the first album, many of the songs were picked for me, or we picked it because it had a great hook. [This time] we tried to find lyrics that were powerful and meant something," he said.
Aiken only wrote one song on the album titled "Lover All Alone."
Claymates are already creaming their pants over that song title alone. They LOVE all that "I'm-celibate-yet-100%-homoerotic" stuff.
But don't get too excited, because Clay doesn't want that.
When the "If I Were Invisible" singer (creepiest song ever!) was asked about the possibility of dancing on tour he said, "I don't think there'll be dancing in any shows at any time soon - or at least, not by me. We want people to stay in their seats."
Clay wants you to go to his concerts and just focus on the lyrics - focus and read between the lines for any minute detail alluding to a sexual preference, if one even exists at all.
