Seal made a big revelation at last week's Lupus L.A. Orange Ball in Beverly Hills. This is the same event where Paula Abdul joked about her drunk ass antics on last week's Idol. Besides performing, Seal revealed that he has lupus himself.
"You've all shown your generosity and your support, and as a 20-or-so-odd-year sufferer myself, I feel really fortunate to be in the position to contribute," Seal said.
Sean performed four songs. The Lupus Research Institute announced it had established a grant in Seal's name that will go to lupus-related initiatives. Show your man some love, Heidi Klum, that's a rough thing to deal with!

Lupus is no joke and a very serious disease. The pain management aspect of it alone is heartwrenching - I lost a college roommate to lupus and it still hurts to think about how much pain she went through before passing away. It's very courgageous of him to divulge his personal medical information and I hope it gives hope to those suffering from it.

I *think* that was the first time Seal has publicly said he has lupus. But yeah, we all knew already, his facial scarring is very distinctive to sufferers of discoid lupus.

no as a music teacher I did not know Seal had lupus...I thought it was from an African right of passage. Now that I have lupus, I as loss my hair once and it grew back...and now it is coming out again..I want help..kids at school are mean..I don't want to be the called the ball-headed music teacher again
