This is sad news to me because I think she would have been perfect in the role. Lindsay Lohan has been dropped from The Manson Girls, which is the film about Charles Manson's female followers. The reason being given is that director Matthew Bright couldn't find any "name" actors or actresses that wanted to work with her. Yikes. No one likes Lindsay Lohan. Even Samantha Ronson wants her to stop laying across her turntables! Maybe it's because she's got sticky fingers!
Lohan had signed on to play Manson follower Nancy Pittman (aka Brenda McCann, I know my Manson lore) back in March, but it looks like Bright will be going in another direction. I say just get every famous wackjob avaiable for the movie. It will make millions. Amy Winehouse can play Susan Atkins, Courtney Love can be Patricia Krenwinkel, and Britney Spears can be Leslie Van Houten. Papa Joe Simpson can play Manson. Millions, I'm telling you.

It's a shame. This is clearly the type of role she wants after spending so much time trashing her good girl image. I wonder who's refusing to deal with her (it isn't as if people refused to act opposite Russell Crowe or Robert Downey Jr at the height of their crazy). Plus, I doubt skankiness is contagious. However, considering Bright's 30-year writing/directing background only includes 5-7 films with names such as 'Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby' and 'Modern Vampire', perhaps it's really him -
