Last night I had the lucky opportunity to cover the In Touch Summer Stars party. I was so excited after seeing the list of stars who would be attending -- but half didn't even show up.
So I made the best of it and interviewed a lot of Disney kids I didn't recognize at first, listened patiently while Traci Bingham talked my ear off, nearly offended Ross the Intern from The Tonight Show, and touched the mighty muscles of Justice and Militia from American Gladiators.
Paris Hilton did show up, but I wasn't as lucky as last time -- the Germans to my left stole her away! Her mother Kathy though, was very generous and answered a few questions for me. What makes her most proud of her daughters? Seeing the way they interact with their fans.
Stephanie Pratt was more tight-lipped than usual, making me think that recent reports in the media have made her realize that maybe being so open on the red carpet isn't such a wise choice, albeit one that doesn't help me any.

It was rumored that when a number of real celebrities (you know -- the ones with character, integrity and talent), discovered that Hilton and her social climbing mother were going to be there, they passed on the event entirely. I would have as well. Strictly "D" list.

Excuse me, but what "fans" stateside does Hilton have, other than the publicity she has to buy because so many Americans ignore her or ridicule her? I guess the stories about Kathy are true...she is just as deceitful and social climbing as her daughter. What a gross pair.
