Michelle Obama, wife what looks to be our Democratic candidate for the presidency Barack Obama, will stop in at ABC's The View on June 18, to co-host. Seriously, I pray she turns to Sherri and says "girl, you are a dumb bitch." You know Whoopi's been itching to say that since Day One but wants to hold onto the gig and saw what happened to Rosie.
Michelle's husband Barack has appeared on The View twice, once disclosing that he is related to Brad Pitt.
"I guess we're ninth cousins removed or something," he said, "I think he got the better-looking side of the gene pool."
Enough of that. I want Michelle to administer some sort of I.Q. test to Sherri, who thinks the world is flat among other simple notions that she has.

I'm all for people expressing different VIEWPOINTS, and having intelligent discussion.
but when a person presents a complete falsehood as their "viewpoint", someone needs to tell that person how f-ing wrong they are.
and I'd love to see Ms. Obama do so.
topsyturvy says:
When are the ladies going to have McCain's wife on THE VIEW? I'm not talking about his concubine Cindy but the woman he's still married to in the eyes of the Lord, Carol.
How can Miss Right-Wing Elisabeth support a man who doesn't honor his commitment to his wife? A commitment he made in front of God?
Tsk-tsk!
wutzername says:
Michelle Obama is an anti American. May she rot in hell...or move to Africa.
JAY says:
I SECOND YOU WUTZERNAME.. SOMEBODY BUILD HER A BOAT AND SEND HER BACK!!!!
say what? says:
oooo, I see you guys have your GOP talking points out...good going! (rolling eyes...)
joan durtz says:
Wutzername and Jay ... Nice cracker ass cracker opinions. You must be Bush drones. How about you go back to your double-wides and tend to your illiterate children.
Such mental giants...(insert eye roll here)
mad African says:
yeah!!! Wutzername and Jay!! Trailer trash trash go back to ur trailers and leave people with intelligent minds to think straight without insulting Africans, I am sure you have never even stepped out of your state! Leave Michelle alone she is one classy lady who does not live in a trailer

T-Bone says:
I see, liberal Democrats. YOU can have all the nasty little opinions you want about George Bush, John McCain and anyone else who's more conservative than you, but conservatives speak and they're "cracker ass", "trailer park" and unintelligent. Do you see the hypocrisy in that or are you JUST that blind?
While I don't see Michelle Obama as "anti-American" (because I believe in freedom of speech and our freedom to question authority), I do question some of her comments, and I DO question some of her husband's choices. And I have that right. In fact, most of the people I know question her husband's choices and they are neither racist, uneducated, unintelligent nor living in trailer parks, I can assure you of that! A few of my more "liberal" friends took a few surveys and the survey picked their top choices according to their REAL views and they ended up with Republican candidates at the top of their lists. They were VERY surprised that some of their true beliefs matched Republican candidates (not that they're going to change who they vote for, this election, but it proves a point that some of us who think we're liberal are not really so and issues are not just black and white).
So before you climb up on that intellectual high horse of yours, try to remember that in this country EVERYONE has the right to think and speak, not just liberals.
say what? says:
interesting...I've NEVER said anything so nasty about any presidential candidate. and let's see...Ms. Obama isn't even running. so your logic goes right out the window. and saying someone should "go back to Africa" is not only offensive, it's also pretty much a racist comment. (so, "cracker ass" is pretty much accurate.) is that who you align yourself with?
people certainly have the right to say what they want, and this is no exception. I'm all for INTELLIGENT discussion and debate. however, what they said is offensive and we also have the right to say so. isn't that what you're griping about?
so, before you climb up on that intellectual high horse of yours, consider who exactly you're defending.
T-Bone says:
I find the comment "go back to Africa" racist, yes. And I don't align myself with racists, ever. But I find the comment "for the first time ever, I'm proud of America" pretty bad too. It says a lot. This country has some issues, for sure, and racism is definitely one of them, but truthfully, if you can't find one thing to be proud of about this country when your husband is running for the HIGHEST OFFICE in the land, what the h*ll does that say??? If you can't find one thing good to say about the country that allowed you THE MOST prestigious education known to man, what does that say? If she couldn't find herself proud of a country that offered her a lifestyle above and beyond 90% of the rest of the entire world, then what does that say??? And if she could ONLY find herself proud of this country after she discovered that people were willing to vote for HER husband, what does that say??
So in answer to YOUR question, Say What? I'm defending anyone and everyone else's opinion, even if it differs from yours. People don't HAVE to like her and they don't HAVE to like him. And their reasons may be valid. Don't just assume people don't like her or him because of race.
say what? says:
let's give her exact quote, shall we? "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country". NOT "for the first time ever". and she clarified those comments. she meant "proud of the politics in America". but with the selective awareness so many of you republicans have, I'm not surprised you missed that part. Just like so many of you still think that Saddam Hussein was involved with 9/11, even tho Bush himself admitted, FINALLY, after implying Saddam DID have something to do with it, that he did NOT.
and if you're truly defending anyone's opinion, then you should also defend the "liberal's" opinion that these comments come from racist people. right? and our right to express what we think, right? and NOT get all bent out of shape when someone whose opinion differs from your actually expresses it? or are you JUST that blind?
sure, their reasons may be valid, and if they expressed themselves a little bit better, I just might understand those reasons. but once someone makes a comment like that, it's hard to see anything BUT their obvious racism.
and sure, they have the right to express their opinion, but (as you so correctly pointed out) we also have the right to express OUR opinion of their opinion. You can say almost whatever you want in this country, but you also have to deal with the consequences of WHAT you say. and if those consequences happen to be that you're called out on your racism, so be it.
T-Bone says:
Well, Michelle got to "clarify" her comments and claim she didn't mean them in the way she said them. I'm sure, given the opportunity, JAY and wutzername would do the same, huh? Note of caution.... just because someone is given the opportunity to explain what they meant when they said something offensive (and just because they come up with an excuse for why they said it)
doesn't mean they didn't mean what they said in the first place. "Selective awareness seems to cut both ways.
P.S. I have no problem admitting that what Jay and wutzerherbut said was racist, and I don't approve. But it is no different than democrats calling conservatives of any sort (George Bush included) "cracker-asses, illiterates and trash".
say what? says:
le sigh...
jay and wutzername DO have the opportunity to clarify their comments. they've had it since they posted originally. HAVE they clarified their comments? or expounded on them? huh? no. so it seems they have no need to. if YOU'D like to speculate on how they'd clarify them, go right ahead. But until THEY do, as Ms. Obama did, I'll call 'em like I see 'em.
and while I'm aware and agree that people can clarify how they wish, and possibly still mean what they originally said, it doesn't necessarily mean that Ms. Obama falls into that category. if you're implying that she does, I think that's a little presumptuous of you. (wait a minute...Kreskin, is that YOU?)
I guess my main issue here is what I perceive as your hypocrisy in defending the right to spew the racist talk, but NOT the other side's right to react to it. If you're truly defending their right to say whatever they want, racist or not, then you also have to defend the other side's right to say what THEY want, as nasty as you think it may be. Which is the opposite of what you did.
green cardigan says:
I'm confused.
Lib and Proud says:
I'm a liberal. I'm also tired of the disparaging comments against America. No need to be racist about it though.
joan durtz says:
T-Bone Head - Please shut the heck up. You should have stated that you don't align yourself with racists in your first idiotic rant about LIBERALS (I love how so many so call Republicans love to use that word). Your posts about anything political are always inane.
Racist comments and politics don't be long together. Those comments were racist, period. I know you are from some pathetic state like Michigan or whatever so many of us on this site probably shouldn't expect more of you but please, give us an F'n break. People like you are what make Americia questionable. Do you even own a passport? I doubt it.
NO OBAMA! says:
NO to Barack in the White House!
NO to Michelle on the VIEW!
I'd rather see fat jerk loud mouth Rosie on the VIEW! Rosie at least has experience.
pat mullin says:
as a viewer of The View I am more and more amazed at the ignorance and general stupity of Sherry Shepherd. I believe she reflects badly on her race. I think Whoopi is often embarassed by her.
Why is she still on the program,
I personally do not want her view.
