I can't believe I'm just now hearing this. Apparently, a rumor spread on the Internet that the High School Musical star was HIV positive and that she had contracted the disease during her nose job operation last year. The gossip prompted Ashley's fans to post tribute videos on YouTube like the one below, supporting their idol.
Since then, her rep has slammed reports, telling People magazine that they are "completely untrue." Reportedly, sites were posting what they claimed was a statement from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to back-up their claim. However, since then Cedars has also clarified, "We absolutely did not issue a release."
That is some serious Mean Girls shit. Did Ashley cross Paris Hilton unwittingly at some point in her life?

Even if it's not true, let's remember that this is a lesson for us to remember that ANYONE can contract HIV, no matter how pretty, famous, popular or talented they are. I wouldn't wish HIV/AIDS on anyone. Hopefully, this is all a rumor.
