This is a moment....I can't even speak. These women are divas, feminists, pioneers. Their sparkling repartee and glamorous charisma brought us all through some dark years. They are the Golden Girls and if they taught us anything, they taught us that old people still like to f*ck. God, I don't care if Bea Arthur's face is caving in on itself, she's 80,000 years old and earned the right. She reminds me of Ri-Ri Harvey's mom Claire. Sassy, snarky and ready to snap on a bitch! I miss you, Nana! And I will never forget when you took off out of Lane Bryant with an entire rack of lingerie attached to your Lark and tried to make out like it was an accident. Wink, wink, girl!
Some other hoes showed up for the TV Land Awards but all I see is gold. Well, there were a couple of other gems. Maniac Roseanne was in the hizzy, and Mary-Ann from Gilligan's Island (Dawn Wells) explained her marijuana bust from last October.
"None of it was true," Wells said. "I was weaving on the road and trying to find the (car) heater. (Police) never gave me a breathalyzer test, but they asked to search my car and found three (marijuana) roaches. My friend had been driving my car earlier in the day. He admitted to it all."
She also said that "the story mushroomed, and I lost out on a Girl Scout speaking engagement." Bitch, you were high as a kite on your three hour weed tour. But I think the Girl Scouts of America could use a dose of reality and perhaps having some stoned pigeon old school TV star teaching them how to roll a blunt could be it. It ain't all about the cookies, ladies.

The picture of Roseanne shows her to look actually really really good...she is growing in her natural grey it seems, which is a beautiful steel colour and I think she's going to actually look amazing when its all grown out...I'm not a fan of Roseanne but of anyone who chooses to stop dying their freak'in hair....

I wish Estelle's dementia wasn't so bad. I think seeing the four of them together again would be fabulous.

Lighten up on The Golden Girls, will ya, huh? They're still here, let's be thankful for that. I think Bea looks great considering she's 86 now.
As for 'nancy', come on, girl. Not everyone looks good with gray hair. There is nothing wrong with hair dye. It is simply a grooming choice.

I would watch this show with my nana everyday when I would visit her as a kid. I constantly watch the show now and laugh my ass off. It is difficult to see them aging because in my mind they are still young. I am glad to know they are still alive and looking great. The Golden Girls are one of a kind.

Does anyone know why Bea Arthur always wore such loose fitting, almost baggy, clothes? She was not over weight but seemed to be hiding her body. I love this show....I watched it live in the 80's and still watch all the reruns and will as long as some smart channel descides to show them. And even after all this time I still laugh at every one.

These four women literally shaped the course of my life and brought me untold joy and laughter for 24 years and counting. I thank them for all the work they put into making Golden Girls a phenomenon. I am the proud owner of all seven seasons on dvd, and consider Bea, Rue, Betty and Estelle angels on Earth. I hope Sophia found her white light and her beloved Sal waiting for her in Heaven.

They deserved to get the awards from TV Land from last year. Betty White is my favorite as she was played Rose Nylund on the Golden Girls and I love Rose's St. Olaf stories. I missed Estelle and Bea. I am still watching the rerun of the Golden Girls and I still do love it.
