Choice quote from the interview: "This is in God's hands. I believe things happen for a reason. This is to make Nick a better person. In my belief, this is to make John a better person."
What an asshole.

SailorAlphaCentauri says:
I can't believe that he would say this. Honestly, I think God has better things to do than permanently ruin a young man's life just to make him a better person. If he had stopped at just saying this would make his son a better person, he might have been able to get away with it.
So it's because of God that you keep saying insensitive things, you clod? What a moron.
peachpie says:
eh, i kind of agree with him.
Applespice says:
While I think Nick is getting what he deserved- John was the one that didn't wear his seatbelt.
Now Nick should have been a responsible driver and said 'hey man, buckle up' and he didn't, but I do feel as if he's getting what he desearves and I certainly hope he learns something from this.
I don't know tons about John- Maybe this is God's was of getting a message to him. We don't know him well enough to know. Maybe John was praying he wouldn't be sent back to Iraq and this was God's way of ensuring he wouldn't. Nobody but God knows why this happened and it's tragic that John's life has been impacted forever because of it. However, everyone can learn something from it.
peachpie says:
um, let me clarify. i don't agree with the god thing. it's more along the lines of the sharon stone and the chinese karma thing.
Coco says:
This interview was sickening. I appreciate that Hulk Hogan cares a lot for his imprisoned son, and I'm sure having those phone conversations leaked must be hard (because he's such an a-hole on them, saying John is a negative person). But everything was "Nick, Nick, Nick." What's happening with his son is nothing compared to what John and his family are suffering. And all his sympathy should be with them. Also, Larry King was way too kind to him. Why didn't he ask what Nick had to say about whether or not he was speeding?
Fave says:
The whole show was a really tasteless joke IMO. Larry King is way too kind to everyone in my opinion. The only person I ever saw him give a hard time was Star Jones because he's buddies with Barbara Walters. Remember the interview with Paris Hilton? Way too soft on her, a lot of questions he could have asked and didn't, again the Hiltons are good friends with Baba Wawa.
