Baby names! The how and why! Jessica Alba named her newborn daughter "Honor" because she wanted the kid to be as stank in personality as she is. No, it had something to do with virtues. Or something. I don't know. I don't love it, but the father's name is "Cash" so whattaya want?
"My guess is that Jessica Alba, going through life as one of several trendily-named 'Jessicas' in any room, was looking for a name that was both classic and unusual, and she made an excellent choice," says some baby name expert that Usmagazine.com got ahold of. And I thought my job was fluffy.
"Honor is one of the Puritan Virtue names that has been making a comeback along with sisters Hope, Faith and Charity," Pamela Redmond Satran, coauthor of baby-naming guides Cool Names and The Baby Name Bible . I thought she named the kid Honor because she said it was an honor to have Cash's baby?
Tori Spelling picked "Stella" which is one of the cooler names in Hollywood, or so this bitch says. As long as people aren't named "Jennifer", "Ashley" or "Tiffany". No offense to readers but I was tired of those ones even as a child. EVERYONE was named "Jenn". EVERYONE.
"Stella has been one of the hottest star baby names for over a decade now," Satran says. Melanie Griffith, Dave Matthews and Elisabeth Shue all have daughters named Stella, which means "star." Oh, Tori's totally reaching.
If I ever had a kid (if like say, hell froze over and I suddenly developed ovaries), I always wanted to name him "Finn." Then some good friends of mine named their son that. So now my baby name is "Milo." What's yours? Why in hell am I choosing baby names. I'm queer, and can barely take care of myself. Let alone a human being. I would probably let the kid play with plastic bags and knives. No, thanks. I don't even want a dog. I've been known to kill fish. This is why I don't work in human services. Invalids and old people would choose death over being cared for by me.

I like Finn!
I've always loved "Auden" for a girl. Isn't it supermodel-y? Or "Belle". For a boy- "Clint". Or "Smith".. something that's strong & manly.
Annie says:
I like Finn, it sounds classic.
Girl names:
Bryoney, Louisa, Beatrix, Antoinette, and Olive
Boy names:
Seamus, Neville, Harry, Michael, and Nigel
green cardigan says:
Girl : Sinead (Jane) , Grainne (Sun) , Orna, Deirdre
Boy : Liam, Tomas, Diarmuid, Fionn (which is another version of Finn I think).
I was in the plastic bags and knives category for a long time too, until i got a cat and realised that it's a pleasure to care for her. So I'm hopeful that if I become a Mammy, i'll have what it takes. put down that bottle of bleach and pass me my lighter ! Get outside and play, i don't want to see you till its dark !

Finn is a fish part. My husband wanted to name our son Finn or Seven. WTF. No. Just try getting some overweight, hormonal, swolen ankeled, bitch to name her son Finn. I think not. My son Cole is perfectly well adjusted, thank you, and he only gets beaten up on the schoolbus for being who he is, not because of his name.
peachpie says:
love the name finn. seven comes from a seinfeld episode.
friend of mine has a just-graduated-from-college son who got some skank knocked up. family has $$$; skank does not. she had the baby, for the child support, doesn't give two shits about the kid ....named him kash kidd smith*. can you freaking believe that trashiness???? my friend nearly stroked out when she realized her grandkid was going to be named kash kidd...
*last name changed to protect the...uh...innocent?
green cardigan says:
Phat Girl ..lol. You made me think of the song ' a boy named sue' by Johnny Cash.
Because i am a numpty and i like this kind of thing, i looked it up.
'Fionn' is the irish and original version of 'Finn'.Means 'white' or 'fair headed'. Fionn mac Cumhail (Finn McCool) is one of the best known characters of Irish folklore and mythology. A warrior. Which sounds a whole lot more romantic then a fish part !
Al+2 says:
I ended up with two girls but for a boy would have loved Dugal or Angus, totally into the Scots thing.
BBB says:
Love Bronwen, Maeve, and Greer for girls. Rafe for a boy. Love the name Finn. And Cyr. And Greylen. And Elias.
krystyn says:
OK, all of your kids are going to hate you! I can't even pronounce most of these, and while I know they're Irish (mostly) unless you live there, not many people will know what the hell you named your child. But I digress.
My boy name is Jameson Andrew and my girl name is Sydney Paige
