It was a tense night for celebrity fans of the Los Angeles Lakers. Facing the Boston Celtics in Game 3, the Lakers managed to nab a win of 87-81. I'm not much of a sports person myself at least not until celebrities are involved, so clearly that's the only reason I'm writing this.
The crowd at the Staples Center was positively star-studded, with staunch Lakers supporters in the crowd as Jack Nicholson and Magic Johnson. There were, of course, a lot of pretty people including Hilary Duff and her hockey-playing boyfriend Mike Comrie. Hugh Hefner showed up with his plastic surgery posse and, of course, my girl Kendra Wilkinson.
Fergie and Kanye West obliged photographers with a cute little pose and David Beckham looked as tense as he would be if the L.A. Galaxy were playing. Also, Vanessa Minnillo is making the most amazing face in reaction to something that Hilary Duff is telling her and you'll be very upset if you don't take a look at it after the jump.

and this would be your difference between Celtics fans and Lakers fans. Its COOL to be a Lakers fan. Its not cool to be a Celtics fan, as until this year they have SUCKED. SUCKED. Sorry, thats deserved two full suckeds.

As if half of these celebrities know anything about basketball. That is why I hate watching Lakers games because every other shot is of some celebrity pretending like they're interested in the game. Sure a lot of cities do this but in L.A. it's just ridiculous.
And I have to say that with all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the Lakers, it is really making me want the Celtics to win (and I'm a diehard Pistons fan)...

There are celebrities at EVERY Laker game even when they are not playing well. Locally we see the Laker games on TV so we are used to seeing these people at every game. The network may want to make a big deal out of it but we don't...these people are Laker fans just like us.

yes, LindaB, some of those celebs are true fans (Kiedis has be referring to them in songs for YEARS) but MOST of them are there to see and be seen.
