I just have to make a comment here. 3 out of the top 5 100 richest celebrities in the WORLD are black. Not only that, but we have a black (biracial) presidential nominee who seems to be leading in all of the polls. So when will people stop thinking of this country as a place where different races have no opportunity due to racism????? Yes, I know it still exists, and yes, those who "forget the past are condemned to repeat it", and no we can't forget about our past, but WHEN will people start admitting that there is opportunity in this country for ALL people, if they work hard enough and are persistent???? When???

Look out the window T-Bone, did you see that pig fly by? He was carrying a banner that said, "The time is now." Its undeniable isn't it?

This is not the list of the richest celebrities but most powerful celebrities (ranks are based on personal wealth, number of TV appearances, Magazine mentions, google clicks and something else I think).Oprah happens to be the richest person on that list too, but should the list were compiled based on wealth only J.K. Rawling would be no. 2.

Yeah, I thought so, Zekers. Don't get me wrong, I'm ALL FOR IT. I don't care if someone is bright green or purple -- if they work their arses off and achieve this kind of fame and wealth, my hat's off to them. But I want them to also stand up and say something about the great opportunity in this country and STOP bashing it. I'm sick and tired of the disparaging remarks against the very country -- THE ONLY COUNTRY -- that affords this kind of wealth and fame to ALL people. I realize it's not a perfect country, and we have some issues here, but for once I'd like to hear one of these celebs stand up and say something to the contrary and acknowledge all they have BECAUSE of the U.S. and not in spite of it.

I truly believe we are getting there, T-Bone. I love this country and am grateful to have been born here. In my lifetime I've seen positive changes and I have no reason to believe that they won't continue until people are judged on their actions, not their skin color. I look forward to the day that race becomes a non-topic.

I think Oprah did a good thing. But it seems some millionaires have some negative comments for her at Richromances.com. These guys talked a lot about her.

Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
God will appreciate it.

I have always believed (maybe because I've never travelled outside Nigeria as a BLACK man) that when you really know where you're going in life NOBODY can stop you. Excellence is the greatest force against rascism. When WE blacks discover that we can use our mental power in place of physical Power and that we can be as good in Science and Industry as we are good in Sport then we can then compete with our other Brothers.
