Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer took their adorable daughter Ruby Sweetheart to a park in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon. Ruby was having such a good time celebrating Father's Day she didn't want to let go of Dad.
While Tobey has been on a bit of a work hiatus lately, it looks like he is ready to get back on the job. The cast of Spiderman 4 has not been finalized, but Tobey is currently working on a big project of his own.
The actor will produce and star in Robotech, which is an adaptation from an anime series. The plot revolves around "mecha" pilots who defend the earth from aliens using giant robotic machines.
Tobey just hired Lawrence Kasdan to take over writing the script. Lawrence is known for working on The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi and Raiders Of The Lost Ark scripts.
I'm trying to stop myself from geeking out. The idea of robots and aliens battling it out has summer blockbuster written all over it. Tobey Maguire as a pilot doesn't hurt either.
