Today the Teen Choice Awards announced
that Miley Cyrus will be hosting the 10th annual awards show this year.
The Disney starlet has racked up 4 nominations herself for both
television and music.
Gossip Girl collected the most nods with 14 nominations. In the music department Chris Brown scored 9 nominations while Teen Choice favorite Justin Timberlake received three more chances to add to his surfboard collection. The singer has won 21 of the awards since 1999 for both group and solo projects.
As much as I love these teen things (oh, to be young again), I don't know if I can handle a two hour broadcast of "Milers!"
Most likely though, I will find myself watching on the the off chance Miley doesn't win a single award and has to struggle through the rest of the show bitter and angry.

This little girl is so talentless. Ooh to be the child of a famous (sorry and white-not race hating it is simply true) parent. She is a gazillionaire and she CAN NOT ACT/SING and is not particularly cute. I feel bad for the little kids out there who really do have talent. They don't stand a chance. The Disney Kids are all a bunch of talentless slags with very few exceptions, one being Raven Simone. I don' think that she can sing but she has great comedic timing. I remember back when I was a kid and the kids on TV could at LEAST act a little bit!

I think miley's amazing!! People make mistakes and she has apoligized for the ones she's made, give her a break! She's good at what she does and im glad she's still acting and singing.. Joss and Bunny - you are idiots. Miley *did* audition for the HM show, several times before she got it. She is also one of the most "naturally" talented singing voices out there in a young 15-yr old body. Give her new song "Four Walls" coming out on her new album a listen to blow away all your uneducated, biased criticism out of the water. Why does everyone hate Miley? Her dress is gorgeous, I want it! She really does have an amazing voice and she CAN act, it's just that Disney Channel cannot write good dialog for their lives. She sold out arenas last year and even though I'm sure the Jonas Brothers helped her do so, there were thousands of kids with Hannah Montana wigs and shirts and all kinds of merchandise. She is a billionare, she was in the right place at the right time and while I can't deny that it helped that her dad is Billy Ray Cyrus, that's not the main reason she got the part as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana. She can handle the pressure, something that a lot of people would lose their heads in. It's not fair to judge her, let's be mature; we're not in middle school, are we? She's living her dream and she's very lucky. Let's be a bit more supportive and if you don't like what she's wearing or how she sings/acts, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but keep it to yourself. This is a great career oppurtunity for her, she's being honored and she's made a big difference in tons of little girls lives. Let's be supportive and happy for her, shall we?
