To help promote World Refugee Day on June 20, Angelina Jolie has participated in creating a public service announcement to raise awareness of the struggles faced by displaced war victims around the world. As a part of her participation as a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. Refugee Agency, the Wanted actress made the video for placement on the UNHCR home page.
In addition, Jolie plans to write an article, much like the one she did earlier this year for the Washington Post, for a major newspaper to be published on Friday, June 20. Around the world on that day, the Colosseum in Rome will be illuminated with the agency's logo, Chicago Bulls player Luol Deng will be presented with a Humanitarian of the Year award and Trafalgar Square in London will be transformed into a replica of Darfur Village.
On that day, Angie will also induce labor, so that she can deliver her twins on World Refugee Day. OK, maybe not, but that would be kind of awesome, wouldn't it?
