Jeanne Kelly bid at a charity auction for her and her son Connor to receive round-trip flights and two nights at an LA hotel. They were supposed to have Beckham meet the boy and sign a jersey for him. Well, that's what they thought.
Mother and son were informed by Charity Sports Auctions that it was off. David had to prepare for Victoria's newest Marc Jacobs acquisition or something.
"They told me there was a breach of security and David's not doing it," Kelly says. Mrs. Kelly feels weird about asking for her money back because it was for charity. That's uncomfortable.
"They're keeping us in the dark," said Kelly. "Conor is heartbroken. He said, 'Doesn't Beckham know it's my birthday present?' He is my son's hero."
Becks' agent says he would never knowingly stand up a charity.
David Beckham is a damn moron with a helium voice and his testicles in his wife's surely splendid designer purse. Like he's in charge of his own life. Though you have our sincere apologies, Mrs Kelly.

I am a big Becks fan and have followed his career for years, and he has NEVER been unkind or stood up a child/children. Was the promoter on the level? Had this been set up with Beckham? It all sounds very fishy to me.
I have do doubt in my mind that Beckham will make it up to the child, whether or not it was his fault--and what a great way for the promoter to get Beckham to deliver, huh? By making a promise on David's behalf and then publicly suggesting that he is unwilling to keep it? Shame on you, J Harvey, for condemning Beckham without knowing any of the facts!!

My, my, someone is quite full of themselves! This child needs to get his feet on the ground.

She shouldn't even have to approach the charity in question - if they are on the level, they should give her a refund no questions asked!!
If she's feeling generous after that, then it's their lucky day.
Otherwise she should report them to her state's Attorney General's office.
It's extremely difficult to fund raise for legitimate nonprofits as it is, without having to compete with shady scumbags that take advantage of people's generosity.

I'm not sure about this story, I don't believe for a second that David Beckham is to blame at all. Depends what you read but one source claims he knew nothing of the charity auction in the first place.
I tend to think that David had nothing to do with the auction in the first place, he isn't the kind of guy who would do anything really bad since he has three kids of his own. Plus the bad PR which his evil bitch of a wife wouldn't tolerate.
