Formerly duel-genitaled (sorry, I like that story) Jamie Lee Curtis, 49, told More magazine that she was hooked on the pills and the booze beginning at age 35. She was so hard up for pharmaceutical comfort that she was even stealing painkillers from her sister.
Curtis says that she first started gobbling the pills when she was taking painkillers after plastic surgery done on her eyes. Curtis continued to abuse the pills and to drink because she was "lonely" and she felt that she wasn't attractive anymore to audiences.
"I attempted various types of plastic surgery, minutely but enough to stave off this encroaching middle-aged body. And every time I did, something went wrong. I felt misshapen, just not natural any more. I think it was a big stimulator of my drug abuse.," she says.
Jamie who has starred in every hot film in existence, from Halloween to A Fish Called Wanda, says that she even once stole her sister Kelly's pain pills when Kelly was recovering at her house from a broken bone. Addiction is evil.
Anyway, she got sober nine years ago when she saw that it was effecting her daughter Annie, who is now 21. Annie was probably more affected by the hermaphrodite stuff! Thank god I'm sure Ri Ri Harvey is chromosonally a woman. It's hard enough me liking penis. Our family is screwed up enough!

I like her. Seriously, though, she had THE hottest bodies of the '80s. I admire her wanting to keep it sexy, but she should just be thankful that God blessed her with all that, @least for a short period of time! I'll never be that hot, ever (except in my mind.... which probably isn't the place it matters)

I like her too. I have a lot of respect for how Jamie has conducted herself in the past decade. The photo shoot in which she "exposed" her "real self" impressed me; it was a very brave and smart move on her part. She just seems like she is a very cool lady.
I always thought she had balls, now J. Harvey is telling me she did/does for real??? I missed that little tidbit of news...

Love JLC too. she strikes me as very "real", down to earth and just all around cool. Plus, she's married to Nigel from Spinal Tap, and that's pretty cool on it's own.
Zekers, the story that J is referring to is a silly rumor that surfaced a while back that JLC was born with sex organs for both genders and that her parents decided to "make" her a girl. Doubt that it's true but snopes.com has it listed as "undetermined".
