Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith are joining the leagues of Oprah Winfrey, Andre Agassi and Tiger Woods, and have created a new school. Called the New Village Academy the private school will have pre-kindergarten through sixth grade and teach subjects in the areas of literacy, math, living skills, Spanish, karate, yoga, robotics, technology, etiquette and art.
Robotics? Not only that, the school will be using a methodology called study technology which was deveoped by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Also, there is a lot of Scientology lingo on the school website, including people involved in "qual" which involves the Scientology auditing process.
Will still maintains that he is not a Scientologist, and the school says teaching Scientology is not on its agenda.
"New Village Academy was born of a simple question, 'Is it possible to create an educational environment in which children have fun learning?' he said. "Jada and I believe the answer is 'Yes.'"

He's an ass. I lost all respect for him when he yanked his kids out of school saying public schools and teachers are no good. Well, guess what Will? Sometimes there are one or two teachers who are bad apples, but move the kids to a different school. But no, instead he puts them in some private school as if they are incredibly special and totally above other children. We non-Scientologists are not as wonderful and enlightened, you know? Meanwhile, the majority of decent teachers have to put up with the wack-job PARENTS who have failed to raise their child. You know, the spoiled parents who are totally into themselves who have the mental age of 15? Or on drugs or in a wierd CULT? Yeah, you deal with that on a daily basis, Genius Boy.

Private schools are a parent's choice. It doesn't mean that that they believe their kids are "totally above other children." That is ridiculously stupid and intolerant. Private schools are an option that some parents choose get over it.
That being said, this IS a Scientology school. Read through the website and then read about Scientology schools.

I looked into a private tutoring agency once that used this fancy new method and it turned out to be this same L. Ron Hubbard method. It's pretty sneaky when a group like that tries to indoctrinate children all stealth-like. If they are using ANYTHING connected to Scientology and not fully disclosing it to the parents of students then that should be criminal. These Scientologists cross too many lines.

I really dont understand why anyone is still joining Scientology. I understand back when Travolta and Kirstie Alley et all did it, but since Tom Cruise and his crazy train have shown the world what a bunch of loonie tunes they are and how it is ruining his career and his public image (did he really think marrying Katie would make him look LESS crazy?)why would anyone want to associate with it? And if they are, then they should just admit it rather than be sneaky and try to fool people. That makes them no different than any other crazy cult that tells people they will have an adventure in the wilderness and then keeps them prisoner to make jam or sell flowers at the airport. I have absolutely NO respect for anyone in this weird CULT because they are not honest about what they believe in. I dont see how it can be called a religion.
