A few days short of turning 21, the 5'8" model Ruslana Korshunova, died
after apparently jumping from her balcony of her Lower Manhattan
apartment at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
According to police, there was no evidence of a struggle in her one-bedroom apartment reports Page Six. The New York Daily News reports that the 20-year-old frequently posted intensely emotional poems on a social networking site, the mot recent of which said, "Love is the sun, desire--only flash. Desire dazzles, and the sun gives life." Sometimes, she expressed great despair, as she did in a post from three months ago, "I'm so lost. Will I ever find myself?"
Known as the "Russian Rapunzel," the Kazakhstan-born beauty watched the movie Ghost with her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend Artem Perchenok just before he dropped her off at 5 a.m. on Saturday. "She was a good person," he told the Post.
Her career started at the tender age of 17 and since then, she has been featured in ads for Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Vera Wang and Christian Dior.
