Back when Usher got engaged last April to wife Tameka Foster, the news of him dismissing his mother
Jonetta Patton as his manager followed shortly thereafter. At the time,
Usher claimed that he severed their business connection in order to
foster a stronger personal relationship.
Now, with Usher's record sales for his new album "Here I Stand" not living up to expectations, he's reportedly blaming his new management and is considering reinstating his mother at the helm. Lil' Wayne's album "Tha Carter III" blasted Usher's out of the water, selling one million copies in its first week and the ratings for the 2008 BET Awards, which Usher hosted fell short of the ratings garnered from last year's event, hosted by Beyoncé.
According to an inside source, "[Usher] threatened to fire everyone." Well, if he did rehire his mom, it looks like things are now going more smoothly between her and his wife Tameka now that a grandbaby's in the picture. Also, Tameka's probably too busy throwing darts at pictures of Keri Hilson to notice.
