Usher's gracing the cover of Essence Magazine, a photoshoot for which he posed at no charge for a Father's Day issue with his son Usher Raymond V. He has said in the past that he refuses to "pimp out [his] child for money."
I can see where he's coming from, but he also makes a point of getting upset with the media fascination with his personal life. Hmm, maybe NOT posing with your baby on magazine covers might help dispel the fascination.
And speaking of pimping out children for money, Usher's reportedly in talks to have his mother reprise her role as his manager. Despite the fact that he's performing his ass off here at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem, his album sales just aren't quite matching his expectations.
