In Touch claimed that John Mayer flirted with another woman
while the singer was in Amsterdam last month sans girlfriend Jennifer
Aniston. And no, it wasn't Jessica Simpson. But we're not sure that isn't this girl...
In response, Anderson contacted Us Weekly and "tearfully" told the magazine that the report that Mayer was "very flirty" with her was completely untrue. Chaton said that her encounter with Mayer took place last year and was very different that the article described.
The 32-year-old said, "Nothing happened anyway--nothing at all," she added. "I just met him briefly and he said, 'Hello, I'm John,' and that was it! It was just groups of people in a coffee shop."
John's rep has also claimed that the story is "false," and this woman is so upset, she's considering legal action. OK, I can understand Anderson being annoyed by the undue attention, but falsely being identified as the object of flirting isn't exactly the end of the world.
