We're still calling them that, right? I love how sci-fi it sounds. According to Us Weekly, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins Vivienne and Knox were conceived using in vitro fertilization. A source dished to the mag, "They both desperately wanted more babies soon."Dang, babies are totally like crack for those two.

The tipster indicated that rather than go through the process of trying to have a baby, Angie decided to simply go ahead and have the in vitro so that "he wouldn't have to deal with the stress of trying to get pregnant." Wow, way to make sex sound like no fun at all.

I think that's Vivienne & Leon or something.

Oh ignore me. I for some reason blocked the Knox part because it seemed like foolishness to name another kid with an X. But apparently that's what happened. Foolishness.

Prearranged pregnancy, prearranged delivery...No, Angelina doesn't have control issues...uh-uh. I thought in-vitro was for people who had reached the end of the road to Conceptionville, not for making babies on a schedule. Not to mention it is painful and very clinical...Wait! Painful and clinical, that explains it!

I wouldn't mind trying to stress him out trying to get pregnant

This news doesn't surprise me too much. it just seemed so convenient that they were having twins. then it turns out it's a boy and girl? It just seemed so planned to me. With so many technological advances now, I can't see how there aren't procedures that can manipulate the sex of twins. The same goes for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony...I have a strong feeling those two did the same thing. It's so like Lopez to plan something like that. She was probably like, Wouldn't it be so cute if we had twins, a boy and a girl, one for you and one for me? I bet the doctors who did the procedure had to sign a serious contract that prevents them from revealing the truth. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more "star" couples having twins.

Hmmmn, "Avoiding the stress of waiting to get pregnant"

Sounds better than "the can't-get-prego-naturally- anymore dried-up heroine addicted anorexic ho".

And since the manupulative home-wrecker needs to keep Pittiful to her apron string, she needs to get prego fast and by any means possible. Thank God for ln-vitro, angie now had the opportunity to pick and choose her designer baby once again but this time, from a tube. Way to cheapen something beautiful that many desperate couples save their last penny to experience the joy of having their own baby, (by the way, no offense to people who really needs the procedure to concieve)

You would THINK that in-vitro would a last-resort effort for people who can't easily conceive, but my cousin recently informed me that when she told her doctor that she and her husband were going to start trying to get pregnant a few years ago, the first thing the doctor did was offer her fertility pills. She was 26. And apparently that's commonplace, as my cousin reported that many of her friends and coworkers have actually taken fertility pills (in their late 20s...the geezers) to conceive and then had twins or triplets.

My guess is that's what Brangelina did.

I went through it, twice. It is a most unpleasant experience all the way around. I did it because I was told, after a ton of tests that my chances were less than 10% of conceiving naturally. The fertility pills made me pretty crazy, the harvesting of the eggs was extremely painful (as were the blood tests every other day). It is very expensive as well and at the time, it didn't go without stigma. The first attempt didn't stick. The second one never took place because the embryos never woke up after thawing. There is also an inherent danger in loading up on hormones.
...and not that its important, but I got pregnant the old-fashioned way after remarrying-it wasn't me after all. Yes, I got rid of that doctor pronto!

i wouldn't be surprised if this is true. It all sounds very Dial-A-Baby.

I've looked into my crystal ball and predict they'll adopt next. Probably not till next year and probably another little girl or boy from Africa as now little Zahara is the only kid in the clan without someone else of her skin colour. And if its a boy they'll probably call him Rox or something. Maddox, Pax, Knox...they sound like the names of cleaning detergents rather than boys names. They've better taste with their girls names.

@ Zekers

I am very happy for you gurl and God bless that child! Shows, good things happens to those who waits, tho' that saying seems old fashioned these days.

Yuck, Zekers, that sounds terrible! At least things worked out well for you!

The crazy thing about my cousin though was that they were only discussing having children when the doctor tried to pump her full of fertility drugs...they hadn't even been trying when it was mentioned!

Esther Greenwood: In-vitro & taking a course of Clomid (to induce ovulation) are very different things. Clomid is pretty expensive but not really too big an intervention. But in-vitro is insanely expensive (in the US) and often painful and a pretty big risk. It's a bit strange that drugs were offered, but there may have been other health issues that made it logical.

"The second one never took place because the embryos never woke up after thawing".

That made me sad for some reason, Zekers. I'm glad it finally happened for you though.

As for these two nuts...seriously, the woman is perfectly healthy (physically anyway), and has a very large brood of children already, yet she uses a procedure that most people use as a last resort because WHY AGAIN? I'm so confused. Is she that desperate to collect children? Makes one wonder, ha?

July 25, 2008 4:04 AM

Thanks for the kind thoughts guys! My son is the absolute light of my life! In retrospect, I'm relieved that the in-vitro didn't take with my ex. It wasn't meant to be. : )
T-Bone, I think she just wanted to have twins on her schedule. Twins assure maximum attention to Miss Angie. She sure seems to be trying to fill some sort of void...I hope she has enough love to go around for all of her little angels. I sincerely hope she stops now.

July 25, 2008 8:57 AM

I'm curious...will she now get 1 France latitude tat on her arm for both twins? Or will she get two tats of the same latitude?
