Because he has a movie to promote, Christian Bale can't lay low in the midst of his whole assault arrest/family drama and was seen out in public. It's probably a small consolation to him that his movie is kicking ass at the box office.
I'm quite impressed with how well he and his wife Sandra "Sibi" Blazic are keeping it together here at The Dark Knight premiere in Barcelona, Spain. But then again, Christian's a good actor. He probably just decided to take on the role of a man whose family isn't driving him up the wall. He's that good.
