Film director Spike Jonze and Brokeback Mountain actress Michelle Williams are being romantically linked according to Star magazine. The 27-year-old mother of the late Heath Ledger's daughter Matilda was spotted kissing the Being John Malkovich director just outside of his apartment in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
The spy dished, "'Michelle kissed Spike with a closed mouth on the corner of his lips. There was definitely a bit of caressing going on. She was clutching his arm. The body language was very romantic." Ha! As always, loving the amateur body-language experts who double as "sources."
The two know each other from when Michelle first auditioned for Jonze's film Where The Wild Things Are. She got the part, but later withdrew from the movie. However, they teamed up again professionally when she starred in his film Synecdoche, New York.
Meanwhile, Michelle's been getting lots of moral support from Heath's best friend Trevor DiCarlo, pictured here. He's been especially helpful with taking care of Matilda. Good for her, I say.

Synecdoche, New York isn't a Spike Jonze film. The movie is written AND directed by Charlie Kaufman. Sorry, i'm a nitpicker and a huge Kaufman fan...credit due where credit is deserved.

Michelle is reknown for hooking up with guys while shooting films. She hooked up with Morgan J Freeman whilst shooting Dawson's Creek, she was 18, he was 28 and they dated 2 or 3 years. Then she hooked up Bobby Cannavale while shooting The Station Agent for a few months, and then she moved on to Michael Showalter while shooting The Baxter and was still with him when she suddenly hooked up with Heath Ledger on Brokeback Mountain. I'm not at all surprised her hooking up with Spike during Where the Wild Things Are and again in Sydneydoche New York. In England she was also rumoured to have hooked up with Ewan McGregor on the set of The Incendiary (and this was around the time when Heath had 'unofficially' dumped her).
