So, Sen. John McCain has aired an ad in which a narrator implores viewers of his Democratic opponent Sen. Barack Obama, "He's the biggest celebrity in the world. But is he ready to lead?" On the screen, images of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton flash on the screen.

In response, Paris Hilton has released a statement through her rep in order to make it clear that she did not endorse McCain's ad. "Miss Hilton was neither asked, nor did she give permission, for the use of her likeness in the ad, and has no further comment," is the official word. Oh, she's probably just pissed that McCain implied that Obama's a bigger celebrity than she is.

Sen. John McCain might as well just go ahead and give up his presidential campaign because without the precious skank vote rallying behind him, his is a lost cause. Oh wait, it seems I spoke too soon...

Paris again? I Dont like her~~I dont know why she is so hot at Billionairepal.com. Just cuz she is beautiful and rich? Although I know she is a billionaire!!

Cool, her make-up makes her face a different colour from her body...

Why is Paris wearing a cross? Isn't she Jewish? Oh, I forgot, fashion before convictions (not the jail kind!).

The ad makes no sense. GD Like, "duh," there's a difference between a rock star and a celebrity. A celebrity is simply famous, but a rock star is famous for his or her performance. George W. Bush could be considered a "celebrity," but he's certainly, "uhhhhhhhhhh," no rock star.

Screw John McCain. Stupid old fart.

No surprises here McCain is just proving Obama made the right move in backing away from public financing. The funny thing is that they accused Obama of lying about this statement 'they' being Karl Rove and many other members of the dishonorable republican party. Yet what do you know the swift boat ads are here when they were supposedly weren't going to do them this year.

Using Paris displays massive desparation from McShitstain.

Well anyway, it's good to know that Paris does not endorse the senile old fool.

Not that any actual fallout is expected but found it interesting that Jon Stewart pointed out the Hilton parents are major McCain contributors. That's gotta sting.

Speaking of candidates - there is a whiteout by the MSM of third party candidates particularly those that are standing up against the corporate elite that runs this plutocracy. The chosen get the publicity. Even the celebrities that may speak about them are silenced. I and many others would appreciate your attention given to these dynamite and brave women. CINDY SHEEHAM, CYNTHIA McKINNEY and ROSA CLEMENTE who dare to challenge the status quo and run for speaker of the house, president and vice president. Go for it.

August 3, 2008 9:53 AM

Sorry for the mispelling in my previous comment.
That was CINDY SHEEHAN of course who is running for speaker of the house against Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco. Dare to struggle. We are the ones that can change things not the corporate shills in the plutocracy. George Carlin said ".....they don't care about you at all at all." WE CAN DO IT we can make a better world. We won't stop.

And the Academy award for worst candidate in a presidential election goes to........Senator John McCain for "NO COUNTRY FOR AN OLD MAN!!!!".

Mc Cain and all republicans take Americans for fools who can't think and the play on that...Otherwise they would not do such things. Americans need to show these guys what they are made of. Cheap Shot indeed

The scary thing about the McCain ads is that they are starting to strongly resemble Nazi style anti-jewish propaganda. You take something despised (e. g. a rodent) and link it to the person or group you direct your attack against. It is simple, effective and utterly despicable.
American politics should not stoop that low, no matter how desperate a politician may become.

That's not a cross, that's the letter 'T'.

It's the weight of ole W on his back. Better call him the HUNCHBACK of John McCain
