British comedian Russell Brand
has been tapped to host the MTV Music Video Awards in September. No one
in America knows who he is, but apparently he's wacky and loads of fun.
Russell says that MTV has forbidden him from joking about Scientology, and from dropping the c-bomb.
He must be all sorts of fun and ignorant to have to be told not to use the c-bomb on an American broadcast (I'm looking at you, Jane Fonda).
And since when does Tom Cruise own MTV? Eff that! Tell that pint-size crib midget to sit the hell down on his butt plug and shut up. So someone mocks the religion that makes its worshippers funnel money to his ass. Someone needs to!

I watched his show when I lived in the UK, a weekly talk show in 2006, but it only lasted one season. Too bad as it was freaking hilarious.

Mia, you're right, Russell is Crazy Funny! He pops up every now and then on various shows on BBC America. His humor so sly. I'm just annoyed that MTV is practicing this form of censorship...the Music Video Awards used to be all about irreverence...

Aaaah, I love him! He's one of my favorite comedians at the moment...there isn't a thing in the world that he can't make funny. Even if he is censored on MTV, I'm sure he'll still be craaaazy crazy crazy funny. Even though censorship is whack.
