Scientology is facing a bigger threat than Russell Brand at the moment, with it's poster boy Tom Cruise being named in a $250 million racketeering lawsuit.
Former Scientologist Peter Letterese filed his suit against the organization in Florida in mid-July, calling Scientology a "crime syndicate" and alleging that he was harassed incessantly after leaving the church.
In the suit, Letterese names Tom Cruise as the head of Scientology David Miscavage's "right-hand man for foreign and domestic promotion, as well as for foreign and domestic lobbying. He has assisted the syndicate in acquiring funds and [made] his own donations of money believed to be in the multiple tens of millions of dollars."
I fully expect Tom and his army of lawyers to come out, lasers blazing. Meanwhile, I can't wait until Katie Holmes finally wisens up. Although, the tightrolled pants aren't a great sign.
