Everyone's trying to capture the perfect balance between black and white. Beyonce's letting herself be lightened from caramel to too much milk in your coffee. Meanwhile, certain types of white women are sploshing themselves all over with fake tanner.

"We highly value our relationship with Ms. Knowles. It is categorically untrue that L'Oréal Paris altered Ms. Knowles' features or skin-tone in the campaign for Feria's hair color," L'Oréal said in a statement. Way to work the product in there.

regardless of how much money B's got, that doesn't negate the fact that the photoshopper did alter her appearance. Significantly.
IMO, she looks WAY better before the photoshop. I mean, she's a very pretty woman so why they had to alter her so much is beyond me.

Strangely enough though, that is the first pic I've seen of her where she resembles her sister Solange...who, (let's be honest) often resembles Orlando Jones in drag. Ergo, all they are saying is "Feria can make you too look like Orlando Jones in washed out drag."
But maybe THAT was the problem in the first place: The shitty choice of hair color was just too close to her actual caramel skin color. And the make-up artist was probably ordered to keep it bland so as to focus on the hair. So then some dumbass in middle management decided to lighten her skin to make the hair stand out and not have to spend the money on a re-shoot.

I have seen her with no makeup at all in a mall shopping and she is very light skinned naturally actually light as in pale without makeup, you can always see Black through anybody who has a little black in them. Why does no one ever mention the BILLION dollar tanning industry??? The irony is that most pictures of White women are DARKENED in some way because unlike Beyonce they KNOW that White is not the most beautiful color to be or they would not spend BILLIONS changing it. I hate Michael Jackson but really he has not done anything different than what White people do everyday!!! White people tanning isn't about looking more non-white.
Its because our skin naturally tans when we've been outdoors and its a sign of youth and health. It hasn't always been that way, and I predict that in the future muddy ethnic stew of America, pure white skin will once again be highly valued, just like it is in every other multiracial nation.

Scotty I didnt know white owned the rights to certain traits. Blacks and whites have a variety of features just because one feature is more associated with a certain race doesn't give that race the right to call it their trait.
And the whites tanning naturally is often times false especially in the modeling business where whites try to tan hours on end to get an unnatural bronze color.
