Remember that parenting book that Lynne Spears wrote that had to be temporarily shelved because her teenage daughter Jamie Lynn Spears got pregnant
and she ended up looking quite foolish? Well, Mama Spears decided to
add a chapter on how to deal with teenage pregnancy and decided to
publish the damn thing anyways.
Through the Storm is set to hit bookstores on August 16th and in it, Lynne talks about her role in her daughter's meteoric rise to fame and the regrets that she harbors in allowing managers and other entertainment industry types take over her parenting role. Interesting. Because she made that mistake TWICE.
The best parts, of course, are going to be the juicy bits about Britney Spears' tumultuous behavior these past couple of years. Basically, this is a very useful parenting guide if you're trying to figure out exactly what NOT to do when raising kids. There's a whole chapter on not drowning your children in the tub, if you can help it.
