Her song "I Kissed A Girl" rocketed to the top of the charts, but reports started circulating that Katy Perry had sunken to a new low in the eyes of her devout evangelical Christian parents. In response, the over-the-top fashionista has denied the claims, saying that her parents are in fact very supportive of her recording career.
Katy said, "I'm sure they opt out of singing 'I Kissed a Girl' or 'Ur So Gay,' but they're singing along to every other song. They're just glad I'm not strung out, doing centerfolds and shit like that."
And she forgot to add, "or attacking people out in public." There seems to be a lot of that going on lately.
