I kind of feel bad for Katie Holmes. Because tickets to All My Sons were initially not selling as quickly those for her hubby Tom Cruise's ex-wife Nicole Kidman's run in The Blue Room in 1998 and sale continue to remain below expectations, Suri Cruise's mom is getting a bad rap in the press. But as you can see from the multitudes of pictures we have of Katie leaving rehearsal, the woman's not lazy.
MSNBC reports that a source revealed that Katie's inability to create a buzz is not because her acting chops aren't necessarily up to par. The spy dished, "The producers are just getting the feeling people still want to view Katie as sweet little Joey Potter."
They should have cast Suri. She's got far more range and star power. Unfortunately, she's a bit of a wild card. In her last Broadway production, she accidentally killed a man in the audience by emoting too strongly.

Is it 45 degrees in NYC, why is she in a coat with a big scarf on in Augus? Why dress so strangely unless you truly can't live without the photographers following your every move. I never thought she had much talent but now she's being strange just to be strange, it's sad when you think about the life she's chosen for herself and that poor kid.
Broadway plays are always risky, the rest of the cast is stellar, and it's an Arthur Miller revival, so it will do alright. It was never going to be a huge Broadway blockbuster in the first place. I wonder why anyone thought this was going a huge demand play in the first place.

Truth is, Katie probably thought (or was promised) that her career was going to blast off after she hooked up with Tommy Girl. It didn't.
He's so screwy -- HIS career is tanking. He'd be wise to do another self-effacing Jerry Maguire character to revive his film career. And you add Katie and her stepford ass...the only good thing to come out of that union is Suri. And who knows if Tom even fathered her, or Katie birthed her. Regardless, she's a cute little girl who will, no doubt, have myriad mental problems from now on. Bless her heart.
