Brad has registered his brats (I kid, I kid, they're lovely. And lucrative!) at the town hall in Brignoles. France apparently has some kickass financial benefits to having little angels in their country, regardless of financial status.
They're eligible for a "nanny payment" of $975.84 a month, and then an "orphan allowance" of $508.97 for each of their three adopted children. They would receive a hot welfare check once a month of $2,592.81! I say take it. Then you can donate it to charity or let Maddox and Zahara go shoppin' in Paris. Those two require extreme glamour.
Or send it to Roseanne with a note telling her to stock up on crazy meds. Has she been found dead yet? Only a matter of time.

I am holding out hope that this is a bullshit item. It makes little sense, considering the personae they project publicly. If true, it becomes a matter of principal. Regardless if they qualify for the funds, they should be ashamed to apply for, let alone take, that money. With a combined worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $185 million, it is a perfect sin if they are indeed going to be collecting the "nanny payment."

Green cardigan - you don't need to be French or from the EU for government assistance. Pretty much as long as you're a legal resident you qualify. I (an American citizen) am moving there next month to be an English teacher and I qualify for housing reimbursement, transportation assistance (as long as I use public transportation) and French 'food stamps'. Of course, I'm being paid next to nothing, unlike these crazies. I'm going to take the money for sure, but I seriously doubt they will.
