China Wasn't A Fan Of Britain In The Closing Ceremonies

Share
China sounds like it's sort of cranky. The Chinese papers are saying that Britain's showing in the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympics was beat.

Britain had a red bus show up (makes sense) with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and singer Leona Lewis aboard. Apparently the Chinese felt that those weren't big enough celebrities and they thought it was lame when all of the British people present ran to get onboard when the bus doors opened. The Chinese are big with people lining up.

This a damn nitpicky country. Didn't this same country let some little girl lipsynch another girl's song because the first girl was too fug? What's with these people? Oh, and they had a problem with David Beckham's kicking the ball towards the "Bird's Nest."

"As for David Beckham, he was supposed to kick the football towards the red circle in the centre of the 'Bird's Nest'. In the end, just like any of his penalties at a football match, he totally missed it. He kicked the ball to the left and dropped in the crowd, then was picked up by a lucky Chinese volunteer who would not let go of the ball," according to the Daily First.

The Chinese media needs to chill. And free Tibet! Ok, they can't do that. But maybe they should focus on that issue as opposed to bitching about an unruly line to get on a bus. Sharon Stone, get them!

What do you expect? This is the same country that has a 1 child per family rule and has forced abortions upon its women. They are guilty of numerous crimes against humanity. The fact that the Olympics were held in such a country is a shame to all.

i lived in china for awhile and they are so much better than they are being portrayed in the media... secondly the country is doing their best to change... they can't help what mao and others before their current generation have done... china is in the middle of a great metamorphosis and the opening ceremonies was a testament to that... grumble grumble people piss me off when they don't actually research things and just spew bullshit we are just as fucked up as they are so gr. plus our media and their media is shit.

My friend's been living in China for the last one and a half years and she hates it. She says people are rude and primitive, to the point that a taxi driver just farted when he was driving her and acted as if nothing had happened.
Yeah, well, the fact that others are also fucked up doesn't make certain things acceptable.
Maybe some British people can afford to make an "untidy line" to get on the bus because they're not afraid that they're gonna get punished if they don't do it perfectly straight.

Tell your friend to get out of there then, instead of bitching about it.
Heh, farting is primitive? How's spitting in hallways? I'm sick of that and I live in Canada.

We'll see what Britain presents at the 2012 Olympics.

Remind me which folks in the opening or closing ceremonies were well known to those outside China? Remind me of the reaction when Beckham came out of the bus? could I hear a pin drop, or did the place go nuts? And whoever said Jimmy Page wasn't 'big enough'? They emplyed a movie director best known for films criticising China in the first place!

in their dreams maybe.. Here in the US, Chinese people are always trying to cut lines, from cutting lines at Movies to supermarkets.. I dont think I have seen seen one Chinese person stay in line..ever

wow bunch of hater and rednecks in here, all i see is old white folk cutting in line, sounded like y'all shit don't stink or something..... grow up a little

Haha...you probably didn't know Jackie Chan and others like Sarah Brightman were performing at the opening ceremonies, but the broadcasters "conveniently" cut some of that out.
