It's probably the booze. 23-year-old mess drinker Lily Allen took to her Facebook to blog about her awards show dust-up with Her Highness Elton John the other night. She said she's "dying inside" on her current status.
"Lily has had enough feels like killing herself," was what she had written earlier and then taken down. So that's kind of an upgrade, right?
But over on her MySpace (she's like the Sybil of the Internet) she's basically telling critics of her GQ Men of the Year Awards behavior (and comforter dress) to stick it and stick it hard.
"Elton and I exchanged jokes and there were no hard feelings at all, in fact neither of us gave it a second thought. I'm not defending my drunkeness because I don't need to... I'm 23, it was an awards ceremony I drank the free champagne - how awful of me. I've been made to feel like a bad friend and an embarrassment to my fans and the people who support me. I shouldn't have to defend myself when I've done nothing wrong."
Oh honey, I say the first step is to close the laptop. Who the hell can blame her, though - free champagne. I woulda been throwing them back and and making comments about that queen's wig.
