Venice Film Festival cheerleader Anne Hathaway posed for an obligatory artsy photo shoot with W Magazine and talked about her jailed ex-boyfriend Italian financier Raffaello Follieri.
Talking about Follieri's arrest, Hathaway said, "It's a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden. But just as suddenly, my friends threw another rug back under me. One said, 'Go stay at my house.' "
The Devil Wears Prada actress offered up some more details than she divulged in her recent Marie Claire interview and said that her Get Smart co-star Steve Carell was protective of Anne while all this drama was going on during promotion of their film. She said Carell told her, "At some point you're going to have to talk about this time in your life. You don't have to do it this week. I'll take care of anything that comes your way."
