The comedian claims that since her wedding to girlfriend Portia de Rossi, she's a new woman--one who is no longer so rough around the edges. Ellen DeGeneres told the Associated Press, "My heart just feels a little bit different, softer and somehow more in love."
The face of CoverGirl added, "I don't know how. But it just feels really romantic and lovely." A glowing DeGeneres hit up the red carpet for the Yes! On Prop 2 Party, which she hosted with wife Portia.
For those not in the know, Proposition 2 is on the the California ballot as a proposed Standards for Confining Farm Animals initiative. The staunch animal-lover was joined on the red carpet by Tobey Maguire, Heather Graham, Jared Leto and Amy Smart among others.

Where the hell is her "No on Proposition 8" fund-raising soiree? One would think that something that made her heart go pitter-pat but is threatened by an AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION would be more important than animal husbandry. Girlfriend needs to get her prioritites in order and to put her money where her mouth is.
