Talking to People magazine at the U.N.A. Global Leadership Awards Gala, Jay-Z
revealed that he does have plans to start a family. "Most people dream
of having a family someday. So I'm just a regular American boy," said
the rapper who refuses to comment on his marital status in reference to lady-love Beyoncé Knowles, who's new album is in the works..
Jay's pet cause is helping to provide clean running water to Africans and was at the event to receive honors for his work doing so. He said that with many humanitarian efforts, there's always a little doubt that the aid is really being delivered to those in need.
"But with this," the hip-hop mogul said, "I got to go to Africa, see the water pumps. I got to see the kids turn them on."
