Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor's future as a contestant on ABC's Dancing with the Stars is up in the air due to an injury
she suffered during rehearsal on Friday. And you thought this
volleyball queen was invincible. One misstep during a cha-cha can level
even the toughest Olympian!
"Dancing with the Stars contestant Misty May-Treanor sustained an injury on Friday and received immediate medical attention. Despite previous reports, she did not break her ankle. She is resting comfortably at home. Doctors will reevaluate her condition on Monday and determine the outcome of her participation on the show," DWTS producers said in a statement.
Word is that she did something to her Achilles tendon. Ouch. It's funny - she busted ass on uneven sand this summer where she could have easily messed her shit up. She comes home with the gold, puts on a ball gown and promptly seriously injures herself while dancing with some queen in hopes to be complimented by Tom Bergeron. What a kick in the head.
