Nomvuyo Mzamane, the former headmistress of Oprah Winfrey's South African Leadership Academy for Girls, has filed a defamation suit against Winfrey. She obviously has many a bullet-proof vest and an army of bodyguards. Or a death wish.
Mzamane's contract wasn't renewed last year after a child molestation scandal occurred at the school. Her lawyer is saying that Oprah publicly blamed the whole thing on her.
Mzamane's lawyer's suit claims that Winfrey implied that Mzamane was "untrustworthy, failed the students of the academy, did not care about the students at the academy, knew of alleged physical and sexual abuse at the academy and participated in a cover-up of the alleged abuse."
Mzamane says that all she originally wanted was an apology. Then she obviously said to herself "apology? The woman owns the Earth and part of Jupiter. She has money come out of every orifice! Apology? Jesus, I'm crazy!" Be sure to leave a next of kin, Schoolmarm.
