If Whoopi really means what she's saying then why has Elizabeth taken such an incredible beating from all the cohosts? Yeah -- they really respect her opinion. Not.

I am all for INTELLIGENT political discourse. I don't agree with what hasselbeck says, but MOST of what she says are GOP talking points that have been debunked over and over.

if she actually had something intelligent to say, that would be great. I'm sure there are PLENTY of intelligent republican women who could easily hold their own in a debate with the shrews on that show. and not cry when challenged.

Death threats against ANYONE are disgusting and totally uncalled for. but if you'll notice, Whoopi said "more than anyone else". Hasselbeck's not the only one who gets them. so, are the people who make death threats against the other hosts "typical fanatical conservatives"?

I actually would have voted for Ron Paul, had he even had a chance. And yes -- he's even more conservative than McCain, fiscally. But he was truly the smartest candidate out there. He's more of a constitutionalist/libertarian and I'm all for cutting the ridiculously LARGE, spend happy federal government out of most things. They are simply not equipped to run this country and between our DEMOCRATIC Congress and Republican President, we've really plunged our government into areas where it doesn't belong. And no, I don't agree with Palin as McCain's choice. Someone in the McCain camp really blew it when they chose her, although I'm not basing that on her political views, because I believe in many of them, I'm simply basing it on her lack of education, lack of work experience, and fundamental lack of professionalism, at times. Having said that, Obama has even less experience! And our DEMOCRATIC Congress hasn't done SH*T to turn ANYTHING around even though they are the ONLY ones who can do it. So it scares the bloody life out of me to have both a DO nothing Democratic Congress and a do nothing, no experience, Washington elitist running this country and taxing us all to death. Democrats have 49% of the Senate, Republicans also have 49%, while Independents are 2%. Democrats in this Congress just do not have the 60% required to break a filibuster!

In just the first year, Republicans filibustered more legislation, and required more cloture votes to break those filibusters, than in any Congress in recent history. 104 cloture votes were required in Congress as compared to 54 in the last Congress.

This Congress could have achieved many great things—including safely bringing the troops home from Iraq, reducing America's dependence on foreign oil and its contribution to global warming, and funding long-neglected domestic priorities—had it not been for the Republican obstruction.

It has been Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, a REPUBLICAN, who made it his mission to insist on a 60-vote supermajority, rather than a simple 50-vote majority, for getting bills through the Senate. In other words, dear T-Bone, this means that it is the Republican's fault that things have not gotten better.
