Stars in the movie about Harvey Milk, San Francisco's first openly gay political figure were sporting all kinds of mustaches and goatee variations. Josh Brolin (Star of my own personal fantasy No Country for Homely Men), Emile Hirsch, Sean Penn and Diego Luna were all scruffy but well-dressed on the red carpet for the film's San Francisco premiere.
The film premiered at the Castro, which was fitting seeing as how Milk used to refer to himself as "the Mayor of Castro Street." As for the clean-shaven mens, T.R. Knight and his pretty boyfriend Mark Cornelsen looked all smiley and happy to be there. Vote no on Prop 8, y'all! Seriously.
James Franco was scruff-free, but to make up for it his eyebrows were going to town, furrowing like crazy. It's probably because he's still wearing the prosthetic penis.
