Introducing President Barack Obama!

Share
In a sweeping victory, the United States has just elected its very first black president!

Voters turned out in record-breaking numbers this election season with Democratic candidates Barack Obama and his running mate Joe Biden winning the presidential race over Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Congratulations to our new president! This was a historic year on both sides, with the GOP providing the U.S. with the first female vice-presidential candidate on their ticket.

Between the campaign and the Olympics this summer, it's probably a fair assessment that the entire country is going to need a nice, long nap to recover from the excitement of this year.

(CORRECTION: We neglected to remember Geraldine Ferraro from the 1984 election, who was the first female VP nominee on a presidential ticket. Sorry about that. Election day excitement got the better of us!)

The dumb asses are the people like you who seriously considered putting an ignorant backwoods bitch like Sarah Palin that fucking close to the White House. People rejected those Republican clowns in record numbers. It's visionless freaks like you who's time has passed.

Actually, the first female VP candidate was Geraldine Ferraro in 1984 for the Democrats.

Let's just try to support our new "President Elect" regardless of whom we voted for. I didn't vote for Obama, but I watched his speech. And all I can say is "I was moved", I believe he was sincere, I believe, right now, he wants to join the country, and I hope to God he will succeed. What's done is done, and we must get on with the future. Let's give this man a chance to prove his worth, to prove all of us "Republicans" as maybe, just maybe, we misjudged this man and his message. Don't look backwards, look forwards.

I think it's a wonderful day for the United States. I think many of us are looking for the change that we are hoping he can help us get to. No one is perfect and I don't expect him to be. His speech last night was wonderful. Congratulations to president(elect) Obama.

It's a wonderful new day for the United States. Fair play to you all. Even if you didn't vote for Obama, it's time to put your differences aside and get behind him and support him as he leads your country through the next 4 to 8 years.

My white ass is just so happy that two black little girls will get to live in the white house!! That is enough to make me jump for joy.

America spoke last night and picked the best man for the job. I am so happy to be an American today.

People like "hailie" need to take their white fear and ignorance and go hang out with all of the other Republican losers.

"Ignorant ass hailie" party of one, your table is ready!

I didn't vote for Obama, yes I would have rather had Palin a heartbeat away from being President. But Obama won, he'll be the new President, and I always support the American President.

If I could thumbs up the comments I'd give Zelda F. one. Very well put.

Congratulations Obama, good luck running the best country ever!

I can't say enough what it means to me to have Obama be our President. It is not just what he stands for that makes me feel hopeful for this country, but it is also in part for what his election symbolizes. The fact that so many voted for a black man with an unusual name who was misaligned with terrorists and who was rumored to be a Muslim means that Americans are listening to the truth. It means that Americans are willing to look beyond the color of one's skin to vote for the BEST MAN for the job. It means that as a country we are moving forward. I have never been more proud to be an American as I am today.

STFU Techman - You sound like an idiot.

November 5, 2008 6:19 PM

Techman, it's none of your fucking business anyway!!

KK, no educated, rational person rejected Palin because she has a vagina. They rejected her because she was unqualified, uninformed and repeatedly made an ass of herself. I feel sorry for her. She should have known not to take on a challenge she couldn't handle.

November 5, 2008 6:42 PM

techman...when you sprout a vagina, and put up with worthless running men...feel free to complain.

November 8, 2008 11:55 AM

Ah hate to burst your bubble but it WAS NOT a record turn out...same as 04. Check your facts before you "report" these lies.

November 8, 2008 11:58 AM

bush wins 51% - country divided

obama wins 52% - country united

GOD BLESS GEORGE BUSH - one of the best presidents we've ever had. History will tell his story and all these lies spread by the dark side will be found out.

Hope prevails.
