Hitting up the red carpet for the Country Music Association awards were two high-profile, Academy Award-winning actresses: Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. And they certainly brought Hollywood glamor to Nashville last night.
But the country music ladies looked as if they would have been just as comfortable on the silver screen themselves with Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire and Shania Twain looking all kinds of glam.
I really loved Taylor and Carrie's gowns because they were so dramatic--the shiny silver of Swift's dress perfectly complimented her ivory skin and Underwood's sunkissed glow was enhanced by the bright yellow, flowy fabric.
Kudos should also be given to Miley Cyrus for her beautiful dress. It looked like a painting, with a well-placed flower bursting with color and youth. I'm not sure exactly what was going on between her dad Billy Ray Cyrus and Justin Gaston, but it looks embarrassing.
