Beyoncé Knowles was on the Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about her new album, her alter ego, and even her wedding to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z.
"It was very private," she says, "and I can say outside it was paparazzi and it was madness, and inside it was really beautiful". Although she wants to keep the details private, Beyoncé says it isn't easy. Particularly when you're on the most highly-rated talk show in American television history. Poor Beyoncé. If only there was some way to unravel this Gordian Knot!
Beyoncé also went on to say that the woman you see strutting her stuff in the music videos is actually her alter ego, Sasha Fierce. "She doesn't do interviews," Beyoncé says. "She only performs." Sasha Fierce usually appears right before Beyoncé is about to take the stage. "Usually when I hear the chords, when I put on my stilettos. Like the moment right before when you're nervous," she says. "Then Sasha Fierce appears, and my posture and the way I speak and everything is different."
And despite her recent marriage, Knowles denied the pregnancy rumors. "No," she says. "Everybody wants me to be pregnant. They've been saying it for years and years. I guess it's just a part of being a celebrity. I want a family, but there's a time for it, and I'm not ready yet. But Sasha Fierce? She's been pregnant six times! That bitch is a total slut." Admittedly, this last quote may have been taken out of context. Or simply made up.

ACTUALLY, she has mentioned her "Sasha" alter ego in interviews over the past several years. I don't even like her, but I know that. I don't think "Sasha" had a last name before, but she's always said that her onstage & offstage personae are not the same. Now she's simply getting carried away with it.

I am an actress and totally understand what getting into character means.
