Go on witcha bad self, girl! Protests were held all across the country
yesterday against the passage of Proposition 8, which overturned the
legalization of same-sex marriages in California. I hope some of you
were at one! Comedienne and The New Adventures of Old Christine star Wanda Sykes spoke at the Las Vegas rally and came out as a lesbian.
"Everybody that knows me personally they know I'm gay. But that's the
way people should be able to live their lives," she said. "Now, I gotta
get in their face. I'm proud to be a woman. I'm proud to be a black
woman, and I'm proud to be gay." Preach on! Organizers were reportedly
"surprised" about Sykes' appearance.
Kanye West has blogged ( today's the day for celebrities taking to their laptops in a huff) about his recent arrest in the UK for reportedly attacking a paparazzi. Click here for the full rant, but the short version is that Kanye says he was merely moving a camera out of his face. "Here's what happened... when I left the club, I was encountered by a thirsty paparazzi as usual. He felt he had more rights to my space than me, so I put my hand up to prevent him from taking my image. I didn't assault him but merely putting my hand up to cover his lens. My security yelled, 'Get the camera off him.' I guess in all the commotion the camera scraped his nose." Kanye was arrested three hours later and released with no charges filed. Whew! We can't have the voice of our generation (*eye roll*) doing time in the clink.
Madonna went on a Japanese talk show to discuss her "big sword." Estranged husband Guy Ritchie better watch his boys, and we're not talking about Rocco and David. "I must have been Japanese in a previous life. I'm pretty sure I was a warrioress. I can't explain it, I just know. I'm good at fighting - fighting with a big sword," she said. Though "sword" could mean something else and no one should be surprised. Look at those muscles.

Oh great Lola. I am glad that black people had a different take on what "democracy" is and kept fighting. So, I guess you don't know what democracy is? That means I can keep fighting and you can keep posting. Oh, and by the way if you don't want to give me the same civil rights as a hetero couple then I would like MY DAMN TAX DOLLARS BACK!
