It can be tough on a young starlet when all of the world's attention is suddenly turned your way. Kristen Stewart plays the female lead in the blockbuster teen vampire flick Twilight,
and with that comes huge amounts of press and everyone wanting a piece
of you. Stewart is revealing herself to be over the media, and would
much rather stay at home and smoke a bowl. On the front steps. Literally.
When Stewart isn't indulging in the herb on her stoop like a druggy 227, she's reportedly complaining about having to do interviews about her movie. That's what comes with making the big bucks, honey! Sources say that Stewart is a horror to interview, has difficulty answering the most basic questions about the film she's in, and throws temper tantrums when it comes time for her to face the press.
''It's not like we were delving into her personal life, asking who she's dating, or whether she'd been to rehab,''a source said. Here's Kristen arriving at the Ed Sullivan Theater for her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in NYC.

I think Kristen and the rest of the cast have done so many press interviews and apperances lately that it's waring them out. It's got to be hard answering the same five questions over and over again - I mean fans can answer those questions for them! Anyway, plenty of people say that Kristen is mature beyond her years and very grounded.

I do not understand this -- before the movie came out, she had done some behind the scene interviews where she came off as pretty smart and coherent, if somewhat pompous in an Ivy-league theatre major sort of way.
Now she stutters and squints and ducks her head and is barely multi-syllabic. Is she trying to be Neve Campbell or is she trying to show that she, like her character, is awkward and shy?
Unbelievably irritating; I will be glad when her 15 minutes are up.

Kristen Stewart is an amazing actress and is probly going through alot of stress. She is constantly having poperazzy follow her around like a magnet and gets asked the same questions over and over again. Nobody knows for-sure if what she was smoking was weed. Everyone is making a big deal out of something so little. And do you honestly think she would smoke weed while she knows paperazzy is following her? Everyone is always saying they wish they were famouse when being famouse is probly a very difficult situation to go through.So get over it and give her a break.

I don't get her, which is slightly annoying. Either she is shy, genuinely awarkward or she is just obnoxtious and rude. The trouble is, if she was the latter this would be clearly obvious and as I am shy person myself I know how people could possibly mis-read you. But, I don't know what with reading media reports she sounds more rude. The trouble is, the media is often distorted so I don't know whether to believe them or not, are they just genuinely mis-reading her or purposely being mean to make good stories. What do you think?
