Here's our girl, Britney Spears, touching down at JFK in NYC after spending some time overseas. The Circus has come to town, y'all!
Britney's documentary about her life, Britney Spears: For The Record, premiered on MTV last night and it gave us an insightful glimpse into Britney's current state of mind. Which is a good thing, because it wasn't a state before - it was a no man's land populated by insane hijinks and preservative-laden snack food.
In the doc, Spears noted how controlled her life is now and seemed almost wistful for the old days when she could run around and angrily try to smash the windows of paparazzi cars with giant umbrellas. She now lives under the watchful eye of conservator dad Jamie Spears, and has lost custody of her children to her ex, Kevin Federline.
Spears seemingly threw herself into her work, coming up with the new (well-reviewed) album (which drops tomorrow) and practicing the dance routines which went along with her recent European promotional tour.
In truth, she came across as fairly honest about her meltdown and trying to overcome it and it's obvious that Brit Brit had some sort of chemical imbalance going on as well as experiencing a total burn-out from the showbiz treadmill she'd been on since she was 13. She's celebrating her record release and her birthday tomorrow on Good Morning America by performing live.
